Welcome from Sir Bill Taylor - Chair of the Corporation Board
As Chairman of the Corporation Board at Blackburn College, it is my role to ensure that the Board represents the wider community in Blackburn and Pennine Lancashire. In conjunction with the College’s Executive Team, the Corporation Board is responsible for the key decisions of direction, investment and policy within the College, Sixth Form Centre at Blackburn College and University Centre at Blackburn College.
Over the past few years, Blackburn College has changed a lot. Our Masterplan to create a world-class campus is well underway and we can be really proud of the excellent campus that our facilities offer.
However it is not just the campus that makes Blackburn College an excellent place to study – we’re fiercely proud of our students too. Many progress into Higher Education or go on to excellent jobs. You’ll find there are thousands of people all over Pennine Lancashire and beyond who’ve studied with us since we first opened our doors in 1888.
