Job Description

To support the Quality and CI functions in the administration of daily, weekly, monthly and project based activities to exceed customer expectations in Quality, Cost and Delivery.

Precision Polymer Engineering Ltd (PPE) is a leading provider of high performance O-rings, technical mouldings and sealing solutions to a diverse range of industries.  Its markets are global, and include semiconductor manufacturing equipment, oil & gas industries, food and pharmaceutical production, chemical processing, large-bore diesel engines and aerospace.

Founded in 1975, with its head office in Blackburn, England, PPE operates manufacturing facilities in the UK and the US, plus sales offices and dealers across the US, Europe and Asia.  The company’s success is based on the continual development of new elastomer materials combined with exceptional levels of customer service and technical support.

The role will be mainly focussed around the Quality and Continuous Improvement department where additional resource is required to support the daily activities undertaken by the department. You will work closely with the CI team to support daily data analysis and improvement events that are regularly carried out. The job will be mainly office based but there will also be necessities to carry out shop floor activities such as develop standard operating procedures and collecting relevant data. There will also be opportunities to manage small projects dependant on departmental needs.


  • Generating daily data analysis to support CI initiatives on shop floor improvements

  • Developing use of SharePoint for Quality and CI department

  • Supporting CI improvement events

  • Developing documentation including standard operating procedures in manufacturing

IT skills fundamental (Microsoft office incl Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

PPE are part of a larger platform (ISS) and corporation (IDEX) as such as the candidate progresses there maybe options to travel. PPE & ISS are an aggressively growing platform and, as such, progression within PPE and the ISS platform (1 site to 4 sites in past 5 years) is available to the right people.
