Job Description

To provide administrative and clerical support to the office of ICare Blackburn working with colleagues to deliver a comprehensive service.

Main Duties:

Assist the office with day to day administration tasks.

Assist with incoming and outgoing mail.

Answering telephone calls for the office, taking telephone messages and passing on to the correct member of the team.

Assist with photocopying and collation of material.

Ensure that there is sufficient stationery within the department and to reorder as and when required.

Office filing on a regular basis.

Input data on to Microsoft Excel and Word.

Scanning of various documents as and when required.

Book meeting rooms and arrange refreshments as required.

Provide information as and when required to other departments, for example Human Resources.

To attend staff meetings and training as required.

To assist in maintaining a safe working environment in accordance with health and safety regulations and policy.

Respect the confidential nature of the work and protect personal information in accordance with data protection regulations and policies in place.

To undertake any other duties appropriate to the post.

 

 

Person Specification

Skills required:

Numerate

Literate

Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Excellent communication skills

Personal Qualities:

Organised

Trustworthy

Honest

Qualifications Required:

    • GCSE’s in Maths and English at Grades A*-C or equivalent

    • Candidates will be required to undertake initial assessment at Blackburn College as part of the application process.
