Job Description

This position is seen as a key role within the Marketing department and should be viewed as a progressive role with excellent prospects for the future.

You will be tasked to work independently, with support from the Marketing Manager and colleagues, to help generate hot leads for the sales team as well as helping raise brand awareness and customer satisfaction.

No day will be the same, so you will need to work on initiative and be hard working to progress in your role and get the best results. As much of your time will be spent generating leads you will need to have the confidence to speak directly to prospective customers as part of a wider campaign.

The right candidate should be confident to take on additional responsibilities overtime and become more involved in day-to-day marketing activities to include constructing independent campaigns to target markets, improving and managing digital marketing strategies as well as off-line literature and advertising.


A flexible approach to work with good time management will be required, as the employee will be presented with miscellaneous tasks on an ad hoc basis, but general responsibilities will include:


•Direct marketing (email, telephone, post)

•Digital marketing (social media, website, advertising, eshots)

•Advertising (online, offline)

•Brand Awareness

•Campaign implementation

•Customer satisfaction

•Customer demonstration assistance

•Event and exhibition assistance

•General communication tasks

•Market research

•Marketing materials management


Person Specification

Skills required:

Must be computer literate and capable of using Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint.

Personal Qualities:

Experience in customer and/or public interaction is favoured but not essential.

Hardworking, confident, creative and independent are essential personal qualities.

Have an excellent telephone manner and be capable of face to face contact with customers

Qualifications Required:

    • GCSE’s in Maths and English at Grades A*-C

    • Candidates will be required to undertake initial assessment at Blackburn College.
