Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join our team as a Systems Administrator/IT Apprentice.

Our company use the latest advances in computing and software technology to create advanced solutions in varied fields of applications.

Our vision is to use our technological and scientific knowledge and skills which we have gained over many years to create solutions for complex real-world problems.

 

Duties include:


•Performing general IT tasks, such as maintaining local machines and printers.
•Keeping websites updated and editing information if requested.
•General administration of CRM’s.
•Providing first line support to staff and end users
•Keeping servers updated and diagnosing basic problems.

Essential Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Logical thinker
  • Genuine enthusiasm for IT and technology.
  • Work well both in a team and independently

Learners will need some software development knowledge and have willingness to learn object orientated language.

Skills required

Literate with good written communication skills and able to complete Functional Skills Level in English

  • Numerate, able to complete Functional skills Level in Maths
  • Computer Literate, able to complete Functional Skills Level in ICT
  • Experience of working with people and/or providing customer service
  • Able to follow instructions and to organise yourself to complete tasks fully and on time
  • Good verbal communication, listening skills and confident using the telephone
  • Motivated, reliable and responsible, able to work on own initiative as necessary
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a real empathy for people and a desire to help them
  • Understanding of boundaries and confidentiality
  • Able to meet customers’ needs and make sure they receive an excellent service
  • Able to work effectively within a team and develop positive relationships with colleagues, clients and other professionals
  • Willing to undertake training and development appropriate for the role
  • Tidy appearance, approachable and friendly

Qualifications Required:

Minimum of 5 GCSE’S grade C or above (must include GCSE English & Maths)

You will be required to pass an initial assessment in Maths and English as part of the application process.
