Job Description

Our school is surrounded by lovely playing fields and down a quiet lane, located in Cherry Tree. We are a single form entry school with capacity for 210 pupils over 7 classes and have good public transport links.

 

 

The Business Administration Apprentice will be based in the school office, therefore it is important that the applicant is flexible, adaptable and maintains confidentiality.  The applicant must have a professional attitude to work with a friendly and caring approach.

 

Main Duties:

 

 

•To welcome and greet visitors and parents as they walk into the office area, in a professional and friendly manner.


•Receive, process and distribute all incoming mail and e-mail etc. in a timely fashion. Organise the prompt distribution of school letters on a regular basis. 


•Ensuring the school diary is up to date at all times 


•Dealing with basic first aid (training will be given) 


•Handling cash and counting weekly monies 


•Assisting with the answering of calls into the school and taking down messages effectively.


•Photocopying and scanning documents. 


•Updating the notice board on a weekly basis


•Assist in the smooth operation of the school office. 


•Typing of routine correspondence as required in connection with the administration of the school. 


•May make refreshments for meetings.
