Job Description

RecycleIT, the UK’s leading IT recycling specialist, are looking for an additional member to join their team.

The post will involve secure data removal from devices using our specialist software.

The employee must be confident with PC engineering. Some technical knowledge would be highly desirable but not vital as on the job training will be provided.

Experience with the Microsoft Office suite is essential.

 

Duties Include:

  • Appraising IT hardware

  • Fault finding

  • PC hardware repairs

  • Software installation & Imaging

  • Data erasure

  • Asset reporting

  • On site deployments

  • IT asset removal, from customer sites

Person Specification

Skills/Personal Qualities

Interest and understanding in IT

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Able to make quick judgments when appraising equipment.

The ideal candidate should have an outgoing personality, the ability to work well within a small team environment and be able to get on well with people.

Qualifications required

GCSEs Maths and English at Grades C or equivalent

The appointment will be subject to applicants passing an initial assessment through Blackburn College and an interview with the employer

Training to be Provided

IT, Software, Web & Telecoms Professionals Level 3 includes:

NVQ, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills in English, Maths and ICT L2 if required

Requires day release attendance in College 1 x day per week plus on the job skills training.

Further Education and IT industry certifications. Permanent employment for the right candidate.
