Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Accounting Apprentice to join our team in Todmorden.

The successful candidate will be working in Accounting and Costing with an Operations bias.

Main duties of this role include the following:

Learning all aspects of accounting, with emphasis on supporting both operations generally and product costing specifically.

Reporting to the Finance Manager (Operations) you will engage with a wide range of company employees from both finance and operations, and develop responsibility for maintaining the day-to-day product costing.

As training progresses, you will also take responsibility for weekly and monthly accounting and reporting functions, and other ad-hoc financial and non-financial performance measurement tasks

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Ability to focus on providing good customer service

Experience/Knowledge of Microsoft office applications, specifically excel and word

Qualifications required

GCSE’s at Grades A*-C in Maths and English.

 

A-Level's would be desirable.

 

Candidates will be required to undertake initial assessment at Blackburn College.
