Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Accounting Apprentice to join our team in Blackburn.

The successful candidate will be working in with the Financial Controller.

Main duties of this role include the following:

  • Assisting the accounts team across all functions.
  • Bank reconciliations
  • purchase ledger
  • credit control
  • management of accounts
  • Filing and Archiving
  • Generally Assist all within the finance team

Person Specification

Skills Required 


Accurate with attention to detail

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Ability to focus on providing good customer service

Experience/Knowledge of Microsoft office applications, specifically excel and word

Personal Qualities

Hard working



Genuine interest in a career in Accountancy

Willing to learn

Punctual & Reliable

Qualifications required

GCSE’s at Grades A*-C in Maths and English.


A-Level's would be desirable.


Candidates will be required to undertake initial assessment at Blackburn College.
