- Job Description
As Apprentice Chef at Mitton Hall, one of the James' Places prestigious country houses, you will operate as the assistant to the kitchen management team, which means you are responsible for a majority of duties and responsibilities, such as inventory and food preparation.
You will have responsibility for all food storing, preparation, production, cooking and service to the restaurant.
You will assist with conference, banqueting and private dining when required.
You will assist and deputise for the Sous Chefs as required.

Clean and tidy appearance
Maths and English GCSE A*-C or equivalent qualifications preferred, however will consider all applications.

Apprenticeship or Advanced Apprenticeship
Intermediate Apprenticeship – Level 2 Professional Cookery
Training to be Provided
All aspects of NVQ Level 2 Professional Cookery or Level 2 Food Production and Cooking. Will be trained in the workplace and assessed either totally in the workplace or one day release at college.
Progression onto the Advanced Apprenticeship in Professional Cookery
