- Job Description
As Apprentice Chef with Gourm8 you will be working in the kitchen and learning all aspects of the kitchen including the preparation of meat, veg, fish and pastries.
You will learn about and implement health & safety in the workplace.
Gourm8 is a brand new concept and the successful candidate will work closely with the executive Chef.
You will need to be creative and be passionate about working in the catering industry.

Maths and English GCSE A*-C or equivalent qualifications preferred but must have the ability to undertake an initial assessment at the college.

Apprenticeship or Advanced Apprenticeship
Intermediate Apprenticeship – Level 2 Professional Cookery
Minimum of 12 months, maximum of 15 months
Training to be Provided
All aspects of NVQ Level 2 Professional Cookery or Level 2 Food Production and Cooking.
Will be trained in the workplace and assessed either totally in the workplace or one day release at college.
Prospect of becoming a junior sous chef up to sous chef.
Gourm8 is situated in Roe Lee Retail Park, Blackburn and is easily accessible via a good bus route.
