H-82 Apprentice Chef at The Sirloin Inn, Hoghton
- Job Description
This job role is in a busy country pub and restaurant working in the kitchen producing quality fresh food for the local village of Hoghton.
The apprentice chef will be trained alongside our head Chef learning the skills of how to use knives, and carrying out orders to specified requirements. You will also prepare dishes according to our a la carte menu. You will be expected to organise your work area to current environmental health and safety standards.
The ideal candidate should be able to work in a team, be flexible, use their own initiative and be proactive and confident in their approach to work.

Maths and English GCSE A*-C or equivalent qualifications preferred, however will consider all applications.

Intermediate Apprenticeship – Level 2 Professional Cookery
Training to be Provided
All aspects of NVQ Level 2 Professional Cookery or Level 2 Food Production and Cooking. Will be trained in the workplace and assessed either totally in the workplace or one day release at college.
Progression onto the Advanced Apprenticeship in Professional Cookery
