Job Description

Brookside Hair,Beauty and Well-being centre have been offering an extensive range of treatments to both men and women, to keep you looking and feeling great!

 

At Brookside the friendly, professional team are qualified in all aspects of hairdressing and beauty treatments.

 

They dedicate themselves to ensuring their client experience in salon is relaxing and therapeutic and they leave feeling pampered with a look they love.

 

We are looking for a new member to join our fun but professional team. 

A professional approach to this industry is paramount as interaction with the general public is on-going. The suitable candidate must show passion for the industry.

The suitable candidate must show passion for the industry.

The job role will include basic styling, cutting, blow-drying and colouring.

You will be expected to meet and greet clients, make and serve drinks, carry out Reception duties and cleaning duties.

Training will be given on a weekly basis in the work place. This may follow the college programme.

Monthly or weekly meetings/appraisals may be given.

 

Person Specification

Skills

The employer would prefer some basic skills in cutting, blow-drying and colouring. Self-motivation and a willingness to learn are essential

Qualifications required

NVQ Level 2 in Hairdressing

GCSE's in Maths and English at grades A* – C or equivalent qualifications preferred, however functional skills can be gained in college if these cannot be produced

There may be at least one late night per week and Saturday/Sunday work

Training To Be Provided:

NVQ Level 3 in Hairdressing. You will be trained both at College (one day per week) and in Salon.
