Job Description

Blackburn College is passionate about innovative teaching and learning practice and committed to growing and developing our provision in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM). Our facilities are some of the best in the area with environmental technology workshops, mechanical workshop, electrical laboratories, a mock bungalow, CAD facilities and a real life plant room.  

We are looking for someone to support the effective delivery of the Carpentry and Joinery provision and the day to day co-ordination of workshop activities. You will work with the team to ensure effective support is provided to both staff and students, monitoring and maintaining materials and equipment as required.

You should possess a level 2 qualification or above (or equivalent) in Carpentry and Joinery and relevant industrial experience. You will also need experience of working to Health & Safety requirements. Experience of undertaking stock control is desirable.
