Blackburn College is passionate about innovative teaching and learning practice and committed to growing and developing our provision in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM). Our facilities are some of the best in the area with environmental technology workshops, mechanical workshop, electrical laboratories, a mock bungalow, CAD facilities and a real life plant room.
Working with our Work Based Learning team you will be responsible for co-ordinating work experience placements and Apprenticeship opportunities for students on the Skills for Work ‘Springboard’ programme. You will also be responsible for moving other Skills for Work students into Apprenticeships and sustainable job opportunities. Alongside working with Skills for Work students, you will also work closely with the ‘Employment Hub’ to co-ordinate across centre work experience opportunities for full time students.
You should have experience of working in a target driven environment and working with external partners to move people into employment. It is also essential that you also have experience of sourcing work experience placements.
