BA (Hons) Fine Art at Blackburn College is a multidisciplinary programme that provides students with the opportunity to acquire specialist knowledge and skills relevant to the discipline of art and design, and to enable them to develop appropriate personal attributes for a career in the fine arts.
The higher education Fine Art department at Blackburn College is based in the bespoke drawing studios of the Victoria Building, opened in 1888 - students have access to workshops, digital media resources, photographic darkrooms and textiles studios.
We would like to appoint a suitable candidate to join our highly experienced and ambitious team of lecturers and facilitators. With an Honours Degree, or equivalent level qualification, in a relevant discipline, a strong awareness of contemporary developments within the Fine Art sector and experience of contributing to learning, teaching and assessment (teaching or research related) you will undertake the role of module tutor and personal tutor for students levels 4-6, from year one technical instruction and support, to Honours level project and dissertation supervision.
