About the tutor:
Jane Binnion is an award-winning social media and ethical sales trainer and author of The Heart of Sales. She is based near Lancaster and works with organisations across the UK. Jane is a qualified and experienced adult trainer, so has a deep understanding of learning styles. Her background was mostly in charities and local government, where she was trained to be systematic, and solution focused. As a result she now specialises in strategy and policy. Jane is an ethical entrepreneur and uses social networking to grow her own successful business.
Jane & Social Media:
Success in social media and sales is all about the relationships that we build. With a degree in sociology, a background in community work and training in Business Education from Phil M. Jones, she brings a full understanding of human interaction that will bring you the results you want.
- What will I study?
This is a hands-on session which will explore how to make social media work most effectively for your organisation. The workshop will give a tour of the main social media platforms and will address the following questions (plus any others you may have):
- Which are the best platforms for me?
- What is the correct etiquette?
- How do I build my following?
- How often & what should I post?
- How do we create good quality, relevant content?
- How much time should I spend on social media?
- How do I manage it all?
- How do we know if it’s working?
And, because safety is important you will also have the opportunity to watch ‘#THINK’ - the social media policy staff training film.
You will be sent a simple strategy document and by the end of the workshop you will have started to build a social media strategy that works for your organisation.
This unit can be booked separately or as part of our Social Media suite of courses, see here
