Overview

All workers have a requirement to manage information relating to their work and their organisation. Fit-for-purpose documents ensure information meets the expectations of the company and its intended audience.

What will I study?

The effective use of information technologies (IT) in business environments is imperative to ensure speed, efficiency and accuracy when storing, retrieving and sending information and documents. On completion of this course, learners will understand information technologies and the benefits of using them for work tasks; be able to manage electronic paper-based information; be able to develop fit-for-purpose documents and understand the procedures for producing these documents. The content of the course has been mapped to the underpinning knowledge within the following unit on the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF): Principles of managing information and producing documents (Level 2). This unit is a mandatory unit within the following qualifications:

    Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Business and Administration
