Who is the course for?
It is essential to have completed or are awaiting results for the Signature or CACDP Level 1 Certificate in British Sign Language (BSL) prior to attending this course. You may be asked for a copy of your certificate.
Through classroom based activities alongside a Deaf, BSL qualified tutor and other delegates at a similar level.
This course will allow learners to broaden their skills when communicating with Deaf people using BSL, and encourage them to communicate effectively on a range of real life, routine, and daily experiences involving both productive and receptive skills. The course is divided into 3 units:
Topics covered include one required theme - Everyday Conversation, and 2 out of 3 optional themes - Eating and Drinking, Spending and Shopping, Travel and Holidays.
This course is suitable for anyone who has completed and achieved either SIGNATURE Level 1 Certificate in British Sign Language (BSL) or CACDP Level 1 Certificate in British Sign Language (proof of certificate is required). The college operates a no refunds policy as detailed below. Cancellations and transfer requests are subject to the following conditions:
All cancellations must be made in writing and are subject to a £10 administration charge. The full fee's policy is available on request.
