How will the course be delivered?

Through classroom based activities alongside a tutor and other delegates at a similar level. There will be 2 examinations on the final day.

What will I study?

Beyond being accountable, it is important for everyone in a managing or supervising position to have mastered the principles of good practice in food safety, thus gaining the ability to guide and advice on the management of food hygiene in a food business. The CIEH Level 4 Award in Food Safety has been designed as a five day programme to provide an in-depth understanding of food safety with an emphasis on the importance of the management of systems and staff. The learning outcomes are as follows:

    Identify areas for legal compliance
  • Design an improvement plan
  • Deliver the CIEH Level 3 Award in Food Safety (with appropriate training skills)
Entry Requirements

The course is aimed at delegates who have an understanding and knowledge of food hygiene. It is essential that individuals have an adequate level of English to understand the information delivered by the tutor. All delegates are required, prior to the commencement of the course, to state that their English skills are at an appropriate level. If it becomes apparent that an individual does not understand the content, the individual will not be able to complete the course but will still be charged the full fee.
