A number of guest speakers are planned to tie in with the business studies curriculum delivery and these will be both on and off the Blackburn College site.  We regularly enter inter-college competitions hosted by the Institute of Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and Lancaster University.  Furthermore, we have a number of half day workshops and sessions planned which raise commercial awareness, introduce personal finance and a case study in-house competition run by the ICAEW. An international business trip is also planned for 2017. We believe these enrichment activities provide learners with valuable employability skills and experiences which enhance their opportunities for progression.
