Help & Support
Additional Learning Support Services
Our dedicated Additional Learning Support (ALS) team are here to help you get the best out of your time at College, regardless of your ability. We can help with physical and leaning disabilities, learning difficulties, mental health needs, visual impairment, dyslexia, hearing impairment, language, literacy and numeracy needs.
Is something troubling you? Do you need support? Need to talk to someone in confidence? We will do our best to help you. At Blackburn College we try to fit this around a time appropriate to you and your studies.
Religious & Spiritual Support
At Blackburn College we have our own Chaplaincy services to support members of the College community; of all faiths, in exploration of world views, pastoral care and spiritual direction. The team are happy to sit and listen and to offer confidential support. Everyone who visits is treated with respect.
Chaplains will be a listening ear:
- During a difficult period
- When support is needed
- When no on else appears to be listening to you
Our chaplaincy team work with Blackburn with Darwen Interfaith which has representatives from the six major religions.
