How to apply

Blackburn College offers a wide range of courses and qualifications which means that there are a number of ways to apply.

As you may already know, this year we had an early closing date for first choice applications to Blackburn College. Don’t worry, if you or your students didn’t make that deadline, there are still places available for all courses at a variety of levels. Please complete your application and send it to us as soon as possible.


School Leavers

There are a huge range of options open to you after leaving school.  You can choose from 3 different routes depending on your preferred learning style.  You can continue your studies academically by studying A Levels, if you prefer a more practical learning programme you could study on one of our vocational courses or you may want the opportunity to start work and earn a wage while gaining your qualification on an Apprenticeship.  Whatever your learning style, we have a course for you.

19+ / Part-Time Study

We offer a huge range of courses and qualifications to suit all your needs, from full-time study including A Level, Vocational and Apprenticeship courses, to our many part-time courses.  All of our courses are designed to provide you with the tools to get you where you want to go.  We offer support and flexibility to help you fit study around any work and family commitments.

Apprenticeships

If you’re looking to study on an Apprenticeship, we’ve got a wide range for you to study on, from Hairdressing to Brickwork and even Cleaning!  So, whether you’re aged 16-18 or 19+ this is the form you need to complete when applying for an Apprenticeship programme with us.

University Centre at Blackburn College

Looking for anything from a HNC to a Masters degree? We’ve a great choice with over 120 options at your fingertips. For information about applying to University Centre at Blackburn College courses please visit our Higher Education Admissions page..

All full-time course applications are made through UCAS – www.ucas.ac.uk.

Part-time applications to our University Centre can be made directly to our Higher Education Admissions Team.

Once completed you need to email your completed application form to he-admissions@blackburn.ac.uk.

We really recommend that you use the guidance notes when you complete your application form as this will enable us to process your application much more smoothly.

International Students

We ask that all International Students complete our online electronic application form. You can complete the form electronically and then save a copy of the form. You need to save your completed copy of the form by clicking on the icon on the top left and then email it to international-enquiries@blackburn.ac.uk

If you are struggling downloading the form you will need to download Acrobat Reader to your computer. To do this please click on the following link and the ‘Download now’ box and follow the instructions on screen.http://get.adobe.com/uk/reader/

We recommend that you keep a copy of the completed form and print a copy for your records. You may also wish to send a printed copy of the completed form to:
