New Government incentives and initiatives are helping stimulate demand but to be eligible to draw down Renewable Heat Incentive and Feed-in Tariff funding, installers must be able to demonstrate competence and be accredited with the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS). Further a European Directive which will come into force in 2012 states that to become certified as a competent installer, practical (as well as theoretical) training must be carried out.
