College Sponsored One Voice Annual Dinner a Resounding Success

undefinedVolunteers and community workers were honoured at the One Voice Community Champion Awards. The awards were held in association with the One Voice Annual Dinner at the Windsor Suite, part of King Georges Hall, Blackburn.

The One Voice Annual Dinner was sponsored and supported by Blackburn College and saw some of the best work in the community celebrated with six awards presented on the evening.

Tracy Stuart, Vice Principal (Curriculum and Quality) of Blackburn College, spoke of the importance of education and Blackburn College’s alliance with One Voice in a bid to reach to out to local communities:

‘Blackburn College is proud to support the One Voice Annual Dinner and will continue to work with the organisation to create educational opportunities for all.”

The Annual Dinner also included a speech from Sayyed Osman, Director of Bwd Council who spoke about the importance of female empowerment and women’s involvement in leadership roles.
