Student Becomes Dressmaker To The Stars

undefinedA Blackburn College apprenticeship student has been involved in creating one off couture dresses for a long list of celebrity clients.

Lisa Cockerill, a Level 2 Fashion and Textiles apprenticeship student, is currently based at Rene K Couture, a unique ladieswear label that's a favourite amongst socialites and reality TV stars.

Lisa said, "I've created pieces for a number of celebrity clients, including the cast of The Only Way Is Essex, Amy Childs and Katie Salmon. I was also responsible for making the dress that Ferne McCann wore at the National Television Awards and am given the independence to create garments from start to finish."

Lynn Whitham, Assessor/Trainer at the College added:

"An apprenticeship at Blackburn College is a fantastic way of gaining real world experience, whilst earning a nationally recognised qualification in the process.
