Lancashire Automotive Skills Accelerator project (LASA)
Lancashire Automotive Skills Accelerator project (LASA) is a partnership project led by Blackburn College aiming to support businesses across Lancashire to respond to the growth of renewable energy sources, particularly focusing on low-emission vehicles and infrastructure within the light vehicle maintenance, service and repair, plant machinery and motorsport industries. The partnership includes Blackpool & Fylde College, Lancaster & Morecambe College, Myerscough College and Nelson & Colne College Group.
An Independent Garage Network has been established across Lancashire which supports small businesses to upskill in new technology and hybrid/electric qualifications.
