Blackburn College has a heritage going back to 1888, and is the one of the largest and most successful colleges in the country with the Ofsted accolade of Grade One, Outstanding in all areas.
Since the opening of the University Centre in 2009 we have gone from strength to strength, proactively engaging with businesses in the development of many of our Technical and Degree level courses; enabling us to meet local, regional, national and international needs at a time of constant change and development.
As a result we have a reputation for producing learners and graduates that are highly sought after by employers.
Today Blackburn College is one of the largest college's with a university centre in England attracting over 3,000 Higher Education students.
The next stage in our development that supports future curriculum needs includes the state-of the-art Regional Automotive Technology Hub (RATH) opened in September 2014 built in partnership with industry and the £13.5 million Blackburn Sport and Leisure Centre built in collaboration with Blackburn with Darwen Council.

£65 million student campus We continually invest in our campus and facilities. Over the last 6 years, we have opened a state-of-the-art Sports and Leisure Centre and Regional Automotive Technology Hub (RATH) at combined value of £19 million.
