Courses starting from January 2019
Start the New Year with a new course at Blackburn College. We have a wide variety of courses many of which start in January 2019 and others you can apply for now and start in September 2019.
You can choose from a range of Apprenticeships, Traineeships and Vocational courses - including Moving On.

We will help you find suitable employment, support you throughout your time in the workplace and ensure you progress into a successful career.
If you’re aged 16-18, you might not have the qualifications or skills needed to apply for the Apprenticeship you really want.
A Traineeship is a fantastic way of developing your CV and is the preferred route for many who don’t yet have what employers are looking for.

Step Up is ideal if you are unsure as to which Vocational subject area is the right one for you.
You can take the time to gain an insight into a variety of Vocational study programmes so that you are really sure of the subject area you would like to go into and sign up to in September 2019.
You will be able to gain an understanding of the following areas:
Catering and Hospitality, Childhood Studies, Hair and Beauty, Health and Social Care, Public Services, Sport, Travel and Tourism, Hospitality and Events Management.
Moving On runs for 20 weeks and enables you to gain a Level 1 qualification in Vocational studies. Moving On is perfect for those not currently enjoying their current programme of study - but want to continue with their studies.
