“I had to complete a full day practical observation with questioning but I felt really prepared beforehand and that was down to the practical experience that I had built up and the knowledge, skills and behaviours that my tutors had helped me to learn whilst a College.

“I’m really proud and happy to have completed my End Point Assessment with a Distinction.

“I have waited a long time for this due to Covid-19 but I was able to be more than prepared for the EPA having had lots of support from my teachers Janice, Angela and Tamsin who continued to deliver training during lockdown and worked with me on finalising my practical skills once the salon reopened.

“The delays to practical assessment was frustrating but now that I have finished it successfully, I feel great.

“I had to complete a full day practical observation with questioning but I felt really prepared beforehand and that was down to the practical experience that I had built up and the knowledge, skills and behaviours that my tutors had helped me to learn whilst a College.

“The facilities at College were really good allowing me to practice my hairdressing skills, there was lots of equipment to use and I combined this with the experience I gained working at Mojo Hair and Beauty in Chorley, where I have been working for the last two of years.

“I will continue working in hairdressing and maybe look at studying a Barbering course and studying a Level three qualification to improve and further my skills.”
