• Studied: L2 Business and Administrative Apprenticeship
"The Staff and Students make working at Blackburn College an absolute pleasure and I'm excited to pursue further qualifications and gain more experience working within a vibrant working environment."

William has been awarded 'Apprentice of the Year' at Blackburn College's Further Education Star Awards.

William successfully completed a Level 2 Apprenticeship in Business Administration whilst working within Blackburn College’s Registry Hub.

The Business and Administration Apprenticeship has been designed for students aged 16-24 years, who feel that they don’t necessarily have the necessary ‘work-ready’ skills and want to improve their confidence and knowledge of business and administration practice.

You will study modules in managing and improving performance; working and communicating within a business environment; how to store and retrieve information; and how to plan and organise meetings.

William found the course invaluable, providing him knowledge and skills relevant to starting employment and helping to improve his confidence within a business environment.

During the Apprenticeship year, William secured full time employment within the College’s Hub, as a Registry Administrative Assistant.

“It feels fantastic to know that all of my hard work has been recognised by my colleagues and managers.

“I have worked really hard and have gained invaluable experience working within a fast paced, professional environment.
