Job Description

 

To provide support to our site in the co-ordination of the supply and movement of materials and equipment to achieve operational effectiveness. Assisting with the arranging/ coordinating of deliveries and stock control.

To undertake any general site duties (housekeeping etc) to ensure a welcoming & safe environment for employees and customers

 

Materials

  • Forward planning, coordination and delivery of materials for the DH and Prefab in consultation with Prefab Manager and Site Teams

  • Assisting the Facilities team by liaising with Procurement and Site Teams to ensure that stock is utilised from Blackburn HO prior to material orders being placed ensuring that stock levels do not exceed an acceptable level and there is zero wastage

  • Has a good knowledge of DH materials and is able to select and prepare materials ready for distribution

  • Ensures a basic level of stock is available at Blackburn HO at all times

  • Assist with the loading and unloading of materials using relevant vehicles at Blackburn HO ensuring this is carried out in a safe manner

    Equipment

  • Distribution/collection of DH equipment to ensure contracts have the necessary equipment when required

    Other

  • General office maintenance as and when required

  • Provides hands on support to the facility team when required

  • Promote and comply with the Company’s policies on equality and health and safety both in the delivery of service and the treatment of others.

  • Engage with your manager in reviewing your performance and planning your development.

Carry out other duties consistent with the nature, responsibilities and seniority of your post.

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • GCSE (or equivalent) Grade C and above in Maths and English

  • FLT Licence preferably (Unless this can be covered under the apprenticeship levy)

  • NVQ Level 2 or above in Warehousing & Storage desirable but not essential

    General

  • Good communication skills

  • Excellent organisational skills with a strong attention to detail

  • Self-motivated

  • Able to work well as part of a team or on their own

  • Good numeracy and literacy skills

  • Good working knowledge of IT Software such as MS Excel

  • Able to meet deadlines

  • Full clean UK driving licence
