Job Description

Brief Overview

To assist with the day to day operation of marketing campaigns over a variety of media platforms, as well as using social media and the internet to research and reach out to influential people. The ideal candidate will be familiar with various social media platforms and have a passion for social media and marketing.

Main Duties

Day to day management of multiple social media channels

Sourcing, building and maintaining our social media network

Identifying, locating and engaging with advocates and influencers within social communities to build relationships

Manage and update media lists and contacts database

Market research and researching any given task

Supporting and implementing fundraising and sponsorship strategies

Use a variety of software packages, such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, etc. to record and produce accurate data

Assist with the promotion and marketing of the services provided by Community Solutions North West, including the coffee shop, training courses, conferencing facilities and events

Maintain an up to date knowledge and understanding of activities taking place within the organisation, in order that accurate information can be provided to participants, prospective clients and staff

Additional duties may include providing general administrative support within the team

To be flexible, in relation to approach to work commitments and tasks

General Responsibilities

Operate in accordance with Community Solutions North West policies and procedures relating to Data Protection, Health and Safety, Equal Opportunities and Customer Care.

Maintain confidentiality at all times.

Willing to undertake any other duties consummate with the grading of the post.

Willing to work outside normal office hours as required

Person Specification

Desirable Skills

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office packages

Familiarity with Social Media platforms

Personal Qualities


Good communication skills

Desired Qualifications

GSCE A-C (Or equivalent) in English

Must be willing to work outside normal office hours if required

A pre interview event will take place on Tuesday 17th July 2018 at Elmfield Hall between 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m
