Supporting class teachers with the teaching and learning of the primary curriculum and pupil wellbeing.
Vacancy for Teaching Assistant Level 2
Main Objective – to be able to work with children of various ages across a primary school.
The role will include;
Working under the direction of the class teacher to carry out a range of classroom duties.
Supporting the learning of pupils of different ages with a range of abilities.
Communicating effectively with pupils to support them in their learning.
Helping to prepare classroom resources.
Communicating effectively with staff and being able to work as part of a team.
Remaining professional, in order to be a role model for pupils.
Willingness to become involved in the wider life of school, such as supporting staff with clubs, school competitions, school events etc.
Attend inset days and other relevant staff training.
Keeping pupils safe and responsibility for their wellbeing.

Positive (particularly towards the pupils)

GCSE Grade A – C (or equivalent in English and Maths)
Things to Consider
Successful candidates will be entitled to school holidays although these will be unpaid.
May, at times, be required to clean up after a child has been unwell.
May need to administer some medical care (under supervision) i.e. applying cream to a child.
May be required to change nappies if working with the children in Nursery.
