Job Description

Brief Overview

The candidate will work as part of a dynamic team and be assigned a highly experienced mentor to support them through their practical and academic learning. The candidate will also be supported within our in house training module which will assist them both in work and at college.

Job Description

The Children and Young People's Workforce Apprenticeship offers a combination of qualifications that will equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to work in the childcare industry. Workers in this area make sure children are looked after, kept active, happy and nourished. They also help children develop social and practical skills.

Duties will include;

Work as part of a team

Work under supervision

Keep records of children’s learning and development

Carry out high levels of personal care and hygiene of the children e.g. nappy changing and toileting

Prepare snacks

General cleaning and tidying of the nursery equipment and facilities

 

The employer has their own training modules in place which will be offered to the successful candidate. They offer extra training as per Ofsted guidance eg- safeguarding, food hygiene, paediatric first aid etc.
