Job Description

Responsible to:          Director, Officer in Charge & Deputy

Job Duties:

  1. Ensure that the provision complies with the requirements set out by Ofsted.
  2. Ensuring the delivery of the E.Y.F.S for younger children, and appropriate care and creative play opportunities, for all children, in a safe and caring environment.
  3. Providing full care for children: facilitation of toilet needs/ changing, providing food and refreshments.  Meeting all the needs of children.
  4. The planning and preparing of activities.
  5. Record keeping and safety checks.
  6. Administering first aid and medication once qualified to do so.
  7. Attending staff meetings.
  8. Working alongside and with other members of the team.
  9. Engaging in training and development as required.
  10. Working within agreed Policies and Procedures.
  11. Maintain the care of equipment.
  12. Involvement in Key Worker systems, including observations of children.
  13. Collection and delivery of children to and from school.
  14. Communicating with parents and other organisations
  15. Any other tasks, as agreed, to ensure the continuous provision of high quality childcare.
  16. Light cleaning duties, preparing of snacks etc.

Current Paediatric First Aid certificate

Current Basic Food Hygiene Certificate

Progression to the next level Apprenticeship/Working as a qualified practitioner.

You will be required to be police cleared / DBS to an enhanced level by the company
