Job Description

Apprentice joiner required.

The apprentice will learn all aspects of house building joinery.

Duties will include;

From fitting chamber joists, roofs, 1st/2nd fixings.

You will interact with colleagues of all trades such as plumbers, electricians, plasterers, scaffolders and bricklayers.

Cutting and fitting architrave/skirting and hanging doors.

Making sure the work area is clean and tidy afterwards.

 

Person Specification

Desirable Skills

Practical, good level of mathematical understanding, common sense and a willingness to learn.

Personal Qualities

Hardworking, punctual, attention to detail and can follow instructions but also use own initiative.

Prepared to work in potential cold/wet weather conditions.

Qualifications

Maths and English A* - C preferred

Training to be Provided

The successful candidate will be working towards a Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Wood Occupations Construction and Functional Skills in Maths & English unless you have a GCSE Grade A*- C.
