In the last few years the discerning man has become more demanding, requiring a great haircut along with that bespoke service from a traditional barber.

Here at 5th Ave.Barbers we offer a contemporary and stylish barbers located in Swan Courtyard, Clitheroe in the heart of the beautiful Ribble Valley.

Toby's experience includes working at one of Sydney's top barbers before settling in Clitheroe. Toby established 5th Ave.Barbers in 2014 and has had phenomenal feedback about the unique environment, the fabulous hair cuts, shaves, facials and beard trimming services he offers.

Brief Overview

Trainee Barber required for a busy town centre barbershop. Applicant must have some level of training.

Duties will include;

  • Cutting and styling hair
  • Trimming and styling beards
  • Greeting and gowning customers
  • Maintaining shops clean standards
  • Keeping work area clean and tidy
  • Any other day to day shop duties e.g collecting float.

A professional approach to this industry is paramount as interaction with the general public is ongoing. The job role will include meeting and greeting clients, making and serving drinks, reception duties and cleaning duties. The barber will expect you to observe whilst they carry out barbering services.

Training will be given on a weekly basis in the work place; this will follow the college programme. Monthly or weekly meetings/appraisals may be given with regular reviews.

The training the college will provide on a weekly basis are:

  • Meet and greet clients
  • Consultation
  • Reception duties
  • Cleaning rota duties
  • Cut men’s hair using basic techniques
  • Cut facial hair to shape using basic techniques
  • Dry and finish men’s hair
  • Create basic outlines and detailing in hair
  • Advise and consult with clients
  • Provide shaving services
  • Shampoo, condition and treat the hair and scalp
  • Develop and maintain your effectiveness at work
  • Colour and lighten men’s hair
  • Fulfil salon reception duties
