Job Description

Hours: 37 Hours Per Week / 52 Weeks Per Year

Salary: £23,560 per annum + 28 days holiday + bank holidays + LGPS membership

The Role

As Assistant Accountant you will be responsible for supporting a range of activities across the Financial Reporting team, which includes preparation of management accounts, balance sheet monitoring and treasury management. In addition to these core accounting functions, the role will also provide support to the College payroll team in processing monthly pay.

This is a varied role, with the post holder having the opportunity to be an important and flexible part of a professional finance team within the General Further Education sector. Working within this sector is rewarding as we look to transform students' lives and our community, through outstanding education, training and support.

What we are looking for

With a L3 Accountancy related qualification or working towards you will have experience of working in a finance function having carried out a varied range of tasks. With the ability to work to tight deadlines with minimum supervision you will also have good IT and interpersonal skills.
