This course is for anyone currently working in the field of administration aimed at people who are in a supportive office based role. Your supportive role may include producing business document, supporting meetings, effective communication, Reception duties, filing. To allow you to gain a National Vocational Qualification in Business and Administration. In order to gain an NVQ Diploma at level 2 you will have to prove that you can perform competencies to a nationally recognised standard.

What will I study?

For level 2 - you will need to gather evidence for 4 mandatory units:

    Manage own performance in a business environment
  • Improve own performance in a business environment
  • Work in a business environment
  • Communicate in a business environment

You will also need to achieve a variety of optional units that best match your current job role. Your assessor will provide further information on these options. This qualification is very flexible in its structure enabling the organisation and individual to choose the optional units which best suit their work situation. Course completion is between 8 - 12 months.

Entry Requirements

Certificate in Business Administration Level 2 or relevant business experience.

How will I be assessed?

All of the qualification will be assessed in the work place by your individual assessor from the College. Your assessor will visit you a minimum of once a month and will assist you in compiling a portfolio of evidence.

What can I do next?

Progression to the Level 3 NVQ in Business and Administration (depending on job role), or study in Customer Service or IT qualifications. Obtaining this qualification will prove your work based competency within an office environment, supporting your skills in leadership and any speciality areas as well as future job applications within this area.
