This course is for anyone currently working in the field of administration aimed at people who are in a supportive office based role. Your supportive role may include producing business document, supporting meetings, effective communication, Reception duties, filing, telephone work.
- What will I study?
For level 2 - you will need to gather evidence for 6 mandatory units:
- Communication in a business environment
- Principles of providing administrative services
- Understand employer organisations
- Principles of business document production and information management
- Manage personal performance and development
- Develop working relationships with colleagues
You will also need to achieve a variety of optional units that best match your current job role. Your assessor will provide further information on these options. This qualification is very flexible in its structure enabling the organisation and individual to choose the optional units which best suit their work situation.
What does the course aim to do?
To allow you to gain a combined qualification in Business and Administration. In order to gain the Diploma at level 2 you will have to prove that you can perform competencies to a nationally recognised standard.
This qualification is competence based, this means that it is linked to your ability to completely perform a range of tasks connected with your work. Assessments will be carried out on your daily activities using a range of planned assessment methods i.e. observation, discussion and questioning. All delivery is in the workplace.
