Thgis course is suitable for anyone who comes into contact with children. - What will I study?
This course helps to address the ‘stay safe' outcome of the Government's ‘Every Child Matters' policy – the current government approach to children and young people, looking from a broad perspective at ensuring the well-being of everyone from birth to age 19.
This course covers a variety of child protection / Safeguarding Children issues and is suitable for anyone who comes into contact with children. It is a slightly shorter version of the Awareness of Child Abuse and Neglect (Core) course and it is designed to be suitable for all, not just child specialists. It aims to inform about the various types of abuse or neglect to a child and then explain what you must do if you suspect that a child is being abused or neglected.
