Overview

This Level 3 qualification allows you some flexibility to explore the sporting industry alongside 2 other A-Level subjects. You will have the opportunity to explore the human body and how it adapts to exercise and develop your own skills in a practical sport setting, assessing your peer’s skills, techniques and tactics. Within the second year you will look at elements of fitness programming, nutrition and lifestyle factors that help promote healthy living as well as investigate different careers in sport. This will is a reflection of your owns skills and qualities that will help to prepare you for employment.

What will I study?

During your programme you will study different units that include:

  • Anatomy and Physiology (external exam)
  • Fitness Training and Programming for Health, Sport and Wellbeing (external exam)
  • Professional Development in the sports industry
  • Practical Sport Performance
Entry Requirements

You will need 5 x C/4 at GCSE, including English Language and Maths.

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed through both externally assessed exams and coursework.

Once you have completed your Level 3 study programme you will be able to apply to a range of Universities.
