Overview

Business Level 2.5 is a 2 year course designed as a specialist programme for students who wish to have a wide range of options for pursuing a career in business, law or within an accounting environment.

The course will equip you with the skills and qualifications required by employers and universities.  You will learn, investigate and understand how businesses are structured, how they become profitable, grow and trade.

 Business skills are extremely versatile across a wide range of careers and industries and studying this level leads to excellent progression opportunities. 

This course is equivalent to 3 x  A Levels.

You will study a total of 13 units of which 7 are mandatory and 4 are externally assessed. With 5 optional units with choices from Accounting units, Law units or general business.

 

What will I study?

You will study a total of 13 units of which 7 are mandatory and 4 are externally assessed. With 5 optional units with choices from Accounting units, Law units or general business.

Business units including marketing, finance, event management and international business with optional units  focusing on accounts, the legal system, retail and customer service.

Entry Requirements

You will need 4 x GCSEs at Grade D/3 including English Language and maths and completion of a BTEC First Award in Business

How will I be assessed?

The qualification has four externally assessed units and 9 assignment based units.

Upon successful complete you will be awarded either a Pass, Merit, Distinction, or a Distinction*.
