Counsellor - Integrative Therapies - East Lancashire Hospice

Due to recent developments and service redesign, we have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join our Family Support Service.
Working pro-actively as part of our established team, you will work with individuals, couples, families and groups to help people take steps to overcome psychological and emotional issues.
Whilst developing strong, therapeutic relationships in keeping with person centred principles you will utilise a range of approaches and non-medical treatments to meet individually assessed need including for example counselling, hypnotherapy, brief solution focused therapy.
Additionally you will be accountable and responsible for a defined portfolio directed by service need in order to continually evaluate and improve the service we provide.
You must have
- An advanced diploma at level 4/degree in counselling or equivalent combined with secondary qualifications in alternative theoretical models and intervention and
- Substantial post qualification experience of 450 hours+ of assessing and working with clients with a wide range of emotional and psychological needs.
