Free Essential Digital Qualifications
Free Essential Digital Courses
These Free Essential Digital Courses are available for all adults who wish to gain new digital skills.
You will gain a new set of digital skills starting with the basics around using different devices and finding information including carrying out searches and accessing information.
You'll also look at creating and editing information including taking and saving images, sound and video.
There are a whole range of benefits of doing these courses - they will make you feel more confident when shopping or ordering groceries online; help you access internet banking and even help you with children's homework.
You'll also look at staying safe online and learn how to protect yourself, your data and your privacy.
Two different levels of course are available to you. We will work out which level is right for you.
- Entry Level Essential Digital Skills starts on: 14th April 2021 and runs for 4 weeks.
- You will study 2 full days each week with an extra day in week 1. This will take place on Thursdays and Fridays between 9am-4pm.
- Level One Essential Digital Skills starts on: 14th April 2021 and runs for 4 weeks.
- You will study 3 mornings a week, on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, from 9am-12pm.
Skills for Life ICT
Skills for Life ITC courses will help improve your computer skills and digital literacy so that you can move on to other areas of study or even think about applying for new jobs.
You'll learn different tools including getting used to a range of software packages including:
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft PowerPoint.
These courses are FREE if you are currently in receipt of a benefit and these courses are ideal if you are currently unemployed.
You can start these courses at any time and we will help work out which is the right level of course for you.
You'll be assessed throughout the course and at the end you will be able to complete a Functional Skills assessment to gain a nationally recognised qualification.
