Jamie Holman

I studied fine art at Chelsea School of Art and Design, where I achieved both B.A. (hons) and Masters degrees. I am an artist, writer and lecturer with almost twenty years experience in delivering fine art and creative media curriculum across both F.E. and H.E. provision. In addition to my lecturing role at Blackburn College I am also a contributing editor for The Saatchi Gallery Magazine Art and Music, a lead moderator for UAL Awarding Body and a newly appointed external course consultant for UCLAN. I am an active artist and researcher and am currently producing, and exhibiting works/conference papers that are that explore the similarities in landscape, ephemera, detritus and class in both Northern Ireland and Northern England. Works from this collection have been exhibited at The Royal College of Art, The Saatchi Gallery Magazine and most recently have been published in the Aesthetica Art Prize Anthology 2016 – “Future Now,” 100 international emerging artists. My studio practice is multi-disciplinary and includes, but is not confined to; moving image, performance, audio, photography, text, sculpture and printmaking.
