The impromptu Open Event will see new curriculum take centre stage, with the College having recently launched a variety of new courses starting September 2019.
New curriculum at the College includes a range of Starting Out courses designed to equip students with the social, academic and practical skills to build confidence and develop employability.
Additionally, the University Centre is introducing a HNC and HND in Public Services (Blue Light Services) – providing a unique opportunity for students seeking a career in the police, ambulance or fire and rescue services. It is set to be the only institution in the region to offer this specialism.”
Dr Dad added: “We are seeing a boost across a range of subjects for school leavers including Business, Catering and Hospitality, Digital, Early Years, Health and Social Care, Science and Sport.
“Additionally, our University Centre is seeing a notable increase in demand across Education, Engineering and Public Services and Care.
“Whether you have attended a previous event or not – if you are yet to make an application, we highly recommend you come along to secure your place for September.
“Places are becoming increasingly limited and you may be at risk of losing out.”
The surge in demand closely follows the announcement that 95% of Blackburn College students progress into work or further study within 6 months of course completion. *
