Students Secure Employment with Global Leader
Two A-Level students from Blackburn College have secured Higher Apprenticeships with a global leader in professional services.
Hadia Hayat, 18 and Aishah Hafejee, 17, will now progress into employment with KPMG – a professional service company and one of the Big Four auditors, along with Deloitte, Ernst & Young (EY), and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).
Hadia said: “I’ve really enjoyed the challenge that A-Levels at Blackburn College has provided. It has really helped to make me become a more confident person.”
Hadia – who is studying Accounting, Biology and Financial Studies – feels Blackburn College has prepared her well for a successful start in the financial sector.
She added: “I’ve received a lot of in-depth knowledge about finance and accounting and it has really helped to polish the skills I will need to succeed in my upcoming Apprenticeship.”Blackburn College has a strong reputation for developing students into well-rounded individuals ready for further study or quality employment.
Hadia and Aishah will complete their studies at Blackburn College and celebrate their results in August before starting their Higher Apprenticeship with KPMG in October at the company’s Manchester office.
