Blackburn College’s National Art & Design Saturday Club were recently invited to spend the day at Adobe Head Quarters in London to enjoy an Adobe Masterclass experience.

Joined by Escape Studios’ and London Metropolitan University’s Saturday Clubs, the day was focused around a short film activity.

Members from each of the Saturday Clubs were mixed and split into 10 teams of four to six people and, after being guided by representatives from The Ocean Agency and Adobe, were tasked with creating a short film themed around saving the oceans.

The brief was shaped around giving someone and/or something a voice about the subject or presenting the problem from a certain perspective, in order to raise awareness about ocean saving campaigns with maximum impact.

Karen Mathison, Lecturer in Photography and Saturday Club leader, said: “Trips like this are not only good fun for the members but they are also important experiences.

“To receive a masterclass from a huge, renowned design company like Adobe, especially at their London HQ, is incredible. I would like to thank Adobe on behalf of the Blackburn College Saturday Club, who have picked up some vital attributes and enjoyed mixing with the other Club Members.”
